(Overview)
The International Order of the Alhambra's has been in existence
since 1904. Our Mission is to assist God's Special Children. Through
outings, grants and scholarships.
(What We Do)
Through Christian fellowship and family oriented activities we raise
fund to promote our mission assisting God's special people.
Fraternalism and sociability are dominant characteristics of the
International Order of Alhambra. These characteristics are
specifically identified in one of the purposes of the Order, i.e., "To
promote social, fraternal and intellectual associations and through
its Caravans provide a practical means to form enduring fellowship
and friendship among its members." These characteristics of the
members of the Order are perpetuated to provide camaraderie and
enjoyment while raising funds to achieve the Order’s goals and
objectives of assisting persons with developmental disabilities
caused by mental retardation.

The official emblem of the Order consists of a crescent
surmounted by a tower. It signifies the victory of the Christians
over the Moors who occupied Spain for almost 800 years. The
tower is a symbol of the Red Castle of Castile, and the Crescent
represents the Moors occupation of Spain. The emblem is in the
trademark registry of both Canada and the United States.
